Driving can give you a real sense of freedom, but it can also be frustrating at times, so we wanted to find out
which part of England is the most frustrating place to drive.
Moneybarn has collected data on four popular driving
annoyances; speed cameras, potholes, slow traffic and delays to crown the most frustrating place to drive.
We have scored 47 places in England to uncover the most frustrating place to drive. We looked at 4
different factors which drivers would find frustrating:
Speed Cameras
Potholes
Slow Traffic
Delays
Each factor consists of the latest data available from reputable sources and is standardised using
minmax normalisation to get a score out of 10:
A score of 10 indicates the most frustrating whereas a score of 1 indicates least frustrating. For
example, East Sussex scores 10 for potholes as it has the highest number of potholes, whereas Kingston
on Hull scores 0 as it has the lowest number of potholes.
By combining the scores of different places we were able to create a ranking on the most frustrating
places to drive.
