Customer Stories – Jennifer

About me

My name is Jennifer (also known as Jenn), I am a swimming teacher at a local leisure centre, and live with my mum, dad, 3 dogs (who have taken over my garden!), and 2 kittens.

When I left school, I went on to complete a childcare course at college and I started working as a lifeguard. My brother and cousin both started as lifeguards too. But I’m good with kids and wanted to find a role which meant I could work more directly with children. 

That’s when I started my training to become a swimming teacher. I teach the duckling stages, which is from babies up to age 3, and stages 1-4 for the over 4-year-olds – I do both groups and 121 lessons. It’s my absolute dream job, and I’m being trusted to do more managerial tasks too now. But I much prefer working with the children.

When I’m not at work, I just like to chill. I spend a lot of time at the gym with my friend, sitting in my comfy chair listening to Spotify, or maybe watching the Vampire Diaries. My mum is my best friend, we spend a lot of time together just hanging out – we do pretty much everything together to be fair.

Finding the right car

Everyone suffers with bad credit, don’t they? From making mistakes in the past, with past relationships and things like that – it’s so common. Everyone I know struggles to get credit. So, when I came to needing a bigger car, I went to a local garage on the corner and explained that I’ve previously been refused finance.

I did have a Corsa, but when me and my boyfriend started to get more serious (he’s got a young son), I had to start thinking about the future and if AJ’s car seat and push chair would fit in the car.  So, I needed a bigger boot and back seat area.

There was a guy at the garage called James who recommended Moneybarn to me. He helped me find the car of my dreams – my BMW. I’ve wanted one ever since I was young. Then I got my private plate – it looks like Niffa, like my other Nickname – as in Jenn-NIFFA!

They’ve helped me get the car of my dreams. Even if my credit rating has improved, I’d still look to use them again because the customer service is so good.

What’s changed for you after becoming a Moneybarn customer?

Whilst I do use my car for work, it mainly gets used for trips at weekends and out of term time. My boyfriend has a 3-year-old son, so we like to get out and about with him. Most recently we’ve booked to go see the Blackpool lights and we’ve got a hot tub holiday coming up too. But in short, I’m 27 and I’ve got my dream job and my dream car. My family is healthy – what else does anyone need?
